temple garden

2 oz hendricks gin

3-4 thin slices cucumber (peeled or semi-peeled is best)

1/4 oz rose flower water

crush cucumber slices, cover with ice, and add gin and rose flower water

stir and microstrain into a martini shell or lowball glass

garnish with cucumber slice

a slight variation on a cocktail i invented for the last place i worked (rip, tost), which used rosehip tea instead of the rose flower water, but the effect is largely the same.  makes the hendricks more hendricksy.
