1 1/2 oz vodka

1/2 oz simple syrup

1/2 oz lime juice

2 thin slices cucumber

1/2 oz averno

soda water

muddle cucumber.  top with ice.

add vodka, simple, and lime juice.

shake.  strain over fresh ice in a tall glass.

top with soda.  sink averno.

garnish with lime.

had a girl in the bar hanging out with one of the regulars ask for two custom cocktails tonight.  the first was the jet-set flip.  this was the second.  she said i should call it “a party in my mouth.”
