falling cherry blossom

1 oz vodka

2 oz nigori sake

1/2 oz st germain elderflower liqueur

1/2 oz cherry juice

combine over ice.

shake.  strain into a chilled martini shell or a tall glass over fresh ice.

garnish with a cherry.

this is a wholly theoretical cocktail, that i made in my head for someone who asked for an unfiltered sake cocktail.

  1. JR in WV says:

Interesting. I don’t know what most of the unusual ingredients are, but interesting.

Last night we had a tall dark rum and tonic (Mt Gay) with lots of lime for Martha and a Hendricks Gin and tonic with lots of lime for me. It was hot and stormy last night, so we wanted summery drinks.

At bedtime I had a night cap of bourbon, Bulleit or 1792 I don’t remember which… I think the Bulleit, since it’s now on the outside of the shelf.

what do you think?
