liquid a/c

1 1/2 oz vodka

3/4 oz campari

1 oz raspberry-lime puree (exactly what it sounds like, probably 4:1 raspberry to lime)

3/4 oz lime juice

1/2 oz simple syrup

2 thin slices cucumber

1 large sprig of mint

crush cucumber and mint and cover with ice.  add other ingredients.

shake and strain into a tall glass over fresh ice.

garnish with lime and a couple of raspberries.

i came in today to find a bunch of raspberry-lime puree (for sodas) in the walk-in and decided to build my cocktail special around it.  messed around with a few ideas before i came up with this.  it’s interesting, in that a few of the ingredients cancel each other out a bit, but the overall effect is uncanny and almost magical, in that it makes your mouth feel like it’s ten degrees cooler than the rest of your face (and not just because it’s served cold).
