wolfe-stelzer toddy

1 1/2 oz bourbon

1/4 oz tuaca

1/4 oz ramazzoti amaro

pinch cinnamon

5-6 cloves

5-6 slices ginger (candied, in this case)

orange zest

hot water


combine all in a tall glass and let steep.

garnish with orange zest and cherry.


a meal-finisher for some friends, who came in tonight to celebrate their anniversary.  they wanted something warming and whiskey-ish to finish their after-meal afterglow with.  not super-sweet, which i was worried about til she told me how much she hated sweet toddies.  thank you, unconscious mind-reading brain; i owe you (another) one.
