cucumber vodka

as per my previous post, we like to make our own ingredients at quoin, and though the citrus was in response to an existing demand, i also wanted to make a cucumber vodka, because a) i think it will be delicious and fun to play with and b) because i think people will like it.

and, as with my previous post, it’s really freakin’ easy to do.

2 bottles vodka

2 english cucumbers

peel and thinly slice the cucumbers (peeling is really important; the rind has a lot of bitterness into it, which you’re not going to want in your final product).  pour in the vodka and seal the jar.

i set this going about a week ago, and tasted it last night.  the flavor is coming through, but i think it’s going to need another week before it really starts to shine.  more bulletins as events warrant.
